And you thought you had things under control

Never once did you think of your soul
Then slowly life for you became empty
And you knew you didn’t want it that way
There was nothing you could do, nothing would cut thru
All along the Lord was trying to say
Don’t resolve it with a wrong conclusion
It’s your faith in Him that makes you grow
Unbelief will only add confusion
Trust in Jesus and then you’ll know

With a trial that you know you can’t bear
Well there’s no need to doubt, God works it out
His child He always handles with care
